WATER ROCKET
Design, build and launch for maximum horizontal distance!
Teams of two participants will design and bring their own water rocket for a supervised launch challenge. Each team will receive two launch attempts using the organizer-provided launch pad, and the best valid horizontal distance will be considered for scoring. Rockets will undergo a safety inspection before launch. The event runs from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with judging based on official distance measurements recorded by the event officials.
ABOUT THE EVENT
A hands-on water rocketry competition where UG students design, build, and launch a water-powered rocket for maximum horizontal distance.
Teams of two participants will design and bring their own water rocket for a supervised launch challenge. Each team will receive two launch attempts using the organizer-provided launch pad, and the best valid horizontal distance will be considered for scoring. Rockets will undergo a safety inspection before launch.
The event runs from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with judging based on official distance measurements recorded by the event officials. All launch pads and safety perimeters are provisioned on-site by Kumaraguru SEDS organizers.

RULES & GUIDELINES
- RULE 01 Each team must consist of exactly 2 members and must bring its own water rocket.
- RULE 02 The rocket must use only water and compressed air; unsafe or visibly damaged bottles are not permitted.
- RULE 03 The launch pad will be provided by the organizers and must not be modified by participants.
- RULE 04 Each team gets 2 launch attempts; the best valid horizontal distance will be used for the final score.
- RULE 05 All participants must follow safety instructions; prohibited propulsion systems or unsafe launches may lead to disqualification.
EVENT TIMELINE

Rockets are checked for safety and compatibility with the launch system.
Each team conducts its first supervised launch.
Each team conducts its second supervised launch.
Best valid distance is recorded, results are finalized, and prizes are announced.
