Alien Signal is a thrilling 3-round team challenge for school students. 100 participants form 20 teams of 5 and work together to decode mysterious alien transmissions — from identifying signal patterns and frequencies to investigating deep space astronomy clues and finally cracking the encrypted alien message in the Final Mission.
ABOUT THE EVENT
Alien Signal places school students in the heart of a cosmic mystery. Working in teams of 5, participants receive the backstory: an unknown signal has been received from deep space, and it's up to them to decode it. Each round peels back a layer of the mystery, combining real space science concepts with exciting problem-solving challenges.
The event is scored out of 100 points spread across three rounds (30+30+40). The team with the highest total wins — and in case of a tie, the Round 3 score and submission speed decide the final rank. All answer sheets are collected at the end of each round — no changes allowed after collection.

RULES & GUIDELINES
- RULE 01 Each team must have exactly 5 members. All members must be school students.
- RULE 02 Only sealed round envelopes may be opened when instructed. Peeking at another round's envelope before the signal is strictly prohibited.
- RULE 03 No communication or sharing answers with other teams. Answer sheets must be submitted within each round's time limit.
- RULE 04 Answer sheets are collected at the end of each round. No changes to answers are allowed after collection. Participants must follow all coordinator instructions.
- RULE 05 Scoring: Round 1 = 30 pts, Round 2 = 30 pts, Round 3 = 40 pts. Highest total wins. Tie-break by Round 3 score, then by earliest correct final submission.
EVENT TIMELINE
Participants check in, form 20 teams of 5, receive team numbers and are seated at assigned tables.
Coordinators introduce the Alien Signal story, explain rules, the 100-point scoring system and round-envelope procedure.
Teams solve signal patterns, frequency-wavelength and wave-classification challenges. Answer sheets collected at round end.
Teams identify planets and astronomy clues to determine the possible source of the alien signal and obtain the second code.
Teams combine previous codes with light-year, distance, radio communication and decoding clues to reveal the final alien message.
Coordinators total the scores, conduct tie-break if required, announce the top three teams and distribute prizes before closing.
